Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 2 years of Cardiac Cath Lab experience.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a South Carolina license or compact license (required after submission).

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <60 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: EP/Cath experience required. Community hospital experience is required.

Special Requests: RTO is due at time of submission. Approval will be based on facility needs. Any candidate that has 7+ days and/or includes holiday RTO will have to be submitted to the facility for approval and can delay the process. If your start date is within 90 days, you must complete all labs within 72 hours of signing an offer with MUSC. Parking garage clearance is limited to average-size SUVs and trucks. Local Rate = 10% less than travel rate.

Unit Details: Adult and geriatric patient population. The unit performs peripheral and coronary diagnostic and interventional procedures. Cardiac Cath Lab patient population. Equipment includes Impella, balloon pump, AngioJet, and Shock Wave. A radiation badge is required and must be provided by the agency; MUSC does not provide radiation badges to travelers. Travelers may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season, which runs from June through November each year (peak: August–September). If unavailable for emergency response duties, please do not confirm new assignments or extensions during this period.

Shift & Scheduling: Rotating 4x10hrs day shifts (0700-1730 and 0930-2000) vary as the team stays until procedures are complete. All team members rotate the shifts, but not from day to day; shifts are grouped together for a week, and the following week may use the other shift. Call requirements are one weekend (Friday, Sat, Sun) per month and a call shift one weekday every week. Call requirements may change based on staffing needs.
