As a Armed Security Officer - Responder in Phoenix, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Officer supporting a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to incidents and requests for assistance. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at a government services location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, critical situations, and requests for assistance in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and verify authorization for individuals entering restricted areas in accordance with site-specific procedures.
- Prepare accurate reports and maintain required documentation for patrols, incidents, unusual activity, and other security-related observations.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
- Possess an armed guard card or license.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED, as required by the client.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
