Key Responsibilities

• Assist licensed Physical Therapists in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans, ensuring alignment with patient goals.
• Guide patients through prescribed exercise regimens and therapeutic activities, ensuring they understand the purpose and technique of each exercise.
• Monitor patient progress meticulously, documenting findings and treatment responses in our electronic health record (EHR) system to facilitate effective communication with the therapy team.
• Educate patients and their families on follow-up care protocols, including home exercises and pain management strategies.
• Maintain a clean and organized therapy workspace, ensuring all equipment is sanitized and readily available to support patient care.
• Conduct routine assessments of patient performance and report significant changes to the supervising Physical Therapist.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Common treatments include orthopedic rehabilitation, neurological treatments, sports medicine, and pediatric therapy. Qualifications

• Completion of an Associate’s Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Valid PTA License in Virginia or eligibility to obtain state licensure.
• Strong foundational knowledge in anatomy, physiology, and rehabilitation techniques.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, allowing for effective collaboration with patients and healthcare teams.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of experience as a PTA is required, we are particularly interested in candidates who have experience in a hospital setting. Additional certifications, such as CPR, are highly regarded and can enhance your candidacy.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary structure ranging from $60,000 to $75,000, commensurate with experience.
