The Department of Services for Addiction is seeking a Clinical Manager, this position reports to the Site Director.  The Clinical Manager coordinates and assists in the daily management of a large Opioid Treatment Program with a census of up to 1000 patients and an Outpatient Addiction Treatment Program with a census of 150 patients.  Both programs also offer integrated medical care and there are multiple grant funded service programs which provide enhanced services to this patient population.  The Clinical Manager must assist in ensuring the smooth operation of both the programs in accordance with Federal, State and local regulatory standards.

 

Responsibilities

Assists in the management of fiscal operations, including supervising accounting clerks, collecting payments, meeting with patients who are fiscally non compliant and cashing out.

 

Assists in the review and management of incidents, loitering, incident reports, patient non compliance to ensure that all clinical issues are addressed.  Meet with patients in IDCs and refer patients to Next Steps as appropriate, other higher level of care, or recommend for discharge.

 

Assist in the management of time cars/UKG

 

Assists in the development of  systems to collect, monitor and report required data to OASAS.

 

Assists in the management of facility issues and conduct required drills.

 

Assists in clinic staffing (vacation, counselor of the day, community tours, toxicology testing, backup counselor schedule, phone coverage, Saturday coverage, group schedule)

 

Act as Site Director in his/her absence. 


Qualifications:
•    Must be a Qualified Health Professional (QHP)
•    CASAC preferred
•    Spanish speaking preferred
•    Master’s Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or related field required with license in New York State
•    Experience in training and supervising staff required
•    Must possess good interpersonal, communication and group facilitation skills, be creative and able to work well in a collaborative team environment, ability to communicate orally and in writing 
•    Must be highly organized and able to work well independently.  
•    Knowledge of addiction treatment, preferred experience working with marginalized populations.  
•    Must have experience with databases, including Excel.  


The regular hours are 6:30am – 2:30 pm and must be able to additional shifts and DOSA locations depending on operational needs.
