Children's Minnesota seeks two pediatric geneticists to join its nationally recognized Genetics and Genomics Department. The organization is recruiting both a Pediatric Clinical Geneticist and a Medical Director of Genetics and Genomics, creating opportunities for physicians at multiple stages of their careers. As Minnesota's only pediatric-exclusive Genetics and Genomics program, Children's Minnesota provides comprehensive enterprise-wide services across a five-state referral region. Physicians collaborate with multidisciplinary teams supporting pediatric specialties including hematology-oncology, cardiology, neonatology, immunology, neurology, and pulmonology. With increasing demand for genetics services and ongoing investment in precision medicine, pharmacogenomics, and genomic diagnostics, incoming physicians will play an integral role in expanding access to care and advancing the future of pediatric genetics.
Opportunity Highlights
- Join Minnesota's only pediatric-exclusive Genetics and Genomics program.
- Collaborate with geneticists, genetic counselors, genetic counseling assistants, dedicated nursing support, a metabolic dietitian, and pharmacogenomics pharmacists.
- Participate in precision medicine initiatives, pharmacogenomics, genomic testing, and emerging genomic care programs.
- Medical Director candidates may lead strategic growth, precision medicine expansion, multidisciplinary partnerships, and program development.
- Opportunities for research, education, mentorship, and collaboration with national pediatric genetics initiatives.
- Flexible Monday-Friday clinical schedule, light nighttime and weekend call every four to five weeks, with protected time for non-clinical interests and professional development.
