Revenue Technology Strategy & Product Ownership

  • Own and maintain the Revenue Strategy technology, business intelligence, automation, and AI roadmap in partnership with the Vice President of Revenue Strategy.
  • Identify and prioritize opportunities based on revenue impact, productivity improvement, scalability, user needs, implementation effort, and risk reduction.
  • Translate revenue management and commercial needs into documented business requirements, process maps, user stories, business rules, data definitions, and acceptance criteria.
  • Maintain a prioritized product backlog and coordinate sequencing, milestones, dependencies, resources, risks, and expected business outcomes.
  • Partner with IT/Development and external vendors throughout solution design, development, testing, implementation, enhancement, and ongoing support.
  • Ensure proposed solutions align with Revenue Strategy objectives and applicable enterprise technology, security, data, and support standards.
  • Evaluate third-party tools and vendors, develop business cases, support selection and contract discussions, and monitor delivery and ongoing performance.

Business Intelligence, Analytics & Reporting Automation

  • Own the Revenue Strategy reporting portfolio, including automated web-based and HTML reporting, dashboards, scorecards, exception reports, and self-service tools.
  • Use approved business intelligence, visualization, and low-code or no-code tools to create, enhance, or prototype reporting solutions where appropriate.
  • Partner with IT/Development to establish and maintain reliable automated data feeds, integrations, data models, and reporting processes.
  • Define and maintain standardized metrics, data definitions, validation routines, reconciliation processes, and reporting governance to improve trust in revenue and commercial information.
  • Analyze performance, identify trends and exceptions, and translate complex data into clear insights and recommendations for Revenue Strategy leadership and Revenue Managers.
  • Identify recurring manual reporting and analytical processes and lead their simplification, standardization, or automation with the appropriate technical partners.
  • Establish reporting priorities, service expectations, access controls, documentation, quality standards, and issue-escalation procedures for critical reporting products.

AI, Automation & Revenue Decision Support

  • Identify practical applications of artificial intelligence, machine learning, advanced analytics, and rules-based automation that improve revenue decisions, forecasting, productivity, and issue detection.
  • Define the business problem, revenue logic, required data, desired outputs, user experience, controls, and success measures for AI-enabled and automated solutions.
  • Partner with IT/Development, data specialists, and external vendors to design and implement AI-enabled revenue management tools and automated decision-support capabilities.
  • Lead pilots, user acceptance testing, business validation, and controlled rollout of AI-assisted and automated solutions, including appropriate human review and exception handling.
  • Evaluate emerging AI capabilities, models, tools, and vendors based on business value, accuracy, explain ability, security, reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Monitor adoption, output quality, effectiveness, and measurable business impact, and recommend enhancements or corrective action when performance does not meet expectations.
  • Partner with Revenue Strategy leadership to codify pricing logic, operating rules, and institutional knowledge into scalable decision-support processes and systems.

Implementation, Adoption & Business Continuity

  • Lead cross-functional initiatives from discovery through implementation, including requirements, solution review, user acceptance testing, rollout, training, documentation, and post-launch stabilization.
  • Serve as the functional owner and first-line business triage lead for critical Revenue Strategy reporting, automation, and technology products, coordinating technical incident response with IT/Development or vendors.
  • Monitor report availability, data quality, user-impacting issues, and business outputs; escalate failures promptly and validate that corrective actions restore expected functionality.
  • Document business logic, data sources, system dependencies, process ownership, operating procedures, support contacts, recovery steps, and escalation paths for business-critical solutions.
  • Reduce key-person dependency by ensuring that business knowledge is documented and that code-level ownership, credentials, technical support, and backup coverage are formally assigned within IT/Development or approved vendor teams.
  • Establish repeatable change-control, release-readiness, communication, training, and support processes for new solutions and enhancements.

Cross-Functional Leadership & Performance Management

  • Act as the bridge between Revenue Strategy and technical delivery partners, translating commercial problems into clear requirements and technical constraints into practical business decisions.
  • Provide leadership with roadmaps, business cases, status updates, demonstrations, risk assessments, performance metrics, and recommendations.
  • Build productive relationships across Revenue Strategy, Operations, Marketing, Finance, IT, and external partners to drive timely decisions and successful implementation.
  • Promote data literacy, adoption of standardized tools, and disciplined use of automation and AI across the Revenue Strategy organization.
  • Measure solution value through revenue impact, hours eliminated, adoption, accuracy, reliability, issue reduction, and other agreed business outcomes.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • A strategic and analytical leader with a strong product mindset who can connect revenue management needs, data, technology, and business outcomes.
  • Experienced translating complex business problems into clear requirements and leading technical teams or vendors to deliver practical solutions.
  • Highly data-literate and comfortable working directly with dashboards, reporting tools, metrics, data validation, and business analysis without needing to be a software developer.
  • Technically curious and highly practical about AI, with the judgment to distinguish valuable business applications from experimentation or hype.
  • Strong project and change leader who can coordinate multiple stakeholders, manage dependencies, drive adoption, and hold partners accountable.
  • Clear communicator who can explain analytical and technical concepts to non-technical leaders and convert leadership priorities into executable plans.
  • Disciplined about documentation, governance, data quality, support ownership, and the business-continuity requirements of critical revenue tools.
