IBM DataStage Developer

We are seeking an experienced IBM DataStage Developer with 7+ years of experience designing, developing, and supporting enterprise ETL and data integration solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in IBM DataStage, ETL concepts, SQL, data validation, and production support.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support scalable ETL solutions using IBM DataStage.
• Develop DataStage jobs to extract, transform, validate, and load data from Oracle databases, flat files, CSV, text, Excel, and external systems.
• Write complex SQL queries for data extraction, validation, reconciliation, and performance optimization.
• Build and process JSON files using DataStage Hierarchical Stages.
• Implement data quality checks covering data structure, data types, and business rules.
• Troubleshoot ETL failures, handle production issues, and perform root cause analysis.
• Support L1/L2 escalations and implement preventive measures to improve system stability.
• Develop and maintain Unix shell scripts for automation and operational support.
• Work with scheduling and monitoring tools such as Control-M.
• Use tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, ADO, and Confluence for incident management, tracking, and documentation.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Architects, SMEs, and development teams to deliver reliable data integration solutions.
• Identify opportunities for automation, performance improvement, and operational efficiency.
