Medical Surgical Unit - Travel Registered Nurse- $1970 per week.

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with any experience within the last 12 months.

• Experience with MEDHOST is preferred.

• 12 months of acute care experience.

• ADN completion required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Kentucky license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <60 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• No current placement allowed at Program: HealthTrust Program - LifePoint Health.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: - IVs - NG tubes - PICC and central line care - Catheter care - Post-op surgical care for general surgery patients - Post-op surgical care for total knee and hip replacement, hernia repair, and colectomy

Preferred Skills/Experience: - Foley catheter care - Telemetry - Tube feeding - Stroke care

Preferred Credentials: - BSN preferred

Unit Details: - Adult to geriatric patient population - Common diagnoses/treatments include total joint replacement, general surgery, COPD, diabetes, dementia, dialysis, stroke, NSTEMI, CHF, and A-fib - Uses Baxter IV pumps, Omnicell, JP drains, Hemovac drains, ostomy care, NG tubes, tube feeding, and PEG tubes

Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend

Floating Requirements: - Float to step-down to care for med/surg patients if needed

14 days maximum time off

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 2 years

Driver’s license required
