Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Experience:
• 18 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
• 18 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 1 month within the last 12 months.
• Experience with Epic is preferred.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a North Carolina license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Local & travel allowed.
• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.
• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast and no current placement allowed at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast.
• 12 months gap required between for Part-Time at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast and no current placement allowed at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast.

Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: - General Med/Tele skillset: cardiac rhythm interpretation, experience with non-titrating cardiac drips (Cardizem/Amiodarone), care of patients with tubes/drains, IV start skills, blood products, and wound care/dressing changes.
Special Requests: - Up to 6 days off may be approved, excluding holidays; time must be added to the end of the contract if contracted hours cannot be met.
Unit Details: - Patient population includes chronic diseases, CHF specialty area, mental health, addiction services for patients requiring 6 weeks of IV antibiotics, COPD, DM, wounds, and geriatric care. - RN ratio: 1:4-6, acuity dependent; surge times could increase to 1:7-8. - CNA ratio: 1:7. - Department equipment includes scales, GBS machine, transfer device, vein finder, EKG, crash cart, language interpreter, tele-medicine cart for online assessments of patients, and doppler.
Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend. - No call required. - Travelers will work 75% of holidays. - Shift times: 0700-1900 and 1900-0700. - Schedule cycle: 6-week schedules.
Floating Requirements: - Travel nurses are first to float to other nursing units based on patient care needs and staffing demands and will take patients within scope of practice on any unit, such as MedSurg assignments in ICU or MedSurg holds in ED. - Region 1 floating may include Cabarrus, University City, Stanly, Lake Norman, and Central Division facilities (CMC Main, Mercy, and LCH peds only), as needed within scope of practice. - If floating mid-shift, travel time between facilities remains on the clock.

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months
