Full job description
MedStar Health is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist I to deliver patient-centered clinical pharmacy services across our community-based healthcare system in the Maryland–Washington, D.C. region. In this role, you will verify and dispense medications, manage complex pharmacotherapy, and provide medication therapy management, including dosing adjustments and therapeutic drug monitoring. You will collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals on rounds and care teams to optimize safe, effective medication use and support smooth care transitions.
The Clinical Pharmacist I educates patients and families on medication regimens, side effects, and adherence strategies while promoting evidence-based practice through guideline implementation, formulary management, and medication-use evaluations. You will document interventions in the electronic health record and ensure compliance with Joint Commission, state, and federal regulations.
