Schedule: Weekend Day Shift — Friday through Sunday
The Opportunity
As a Manufacturing Supervisor, you will lead and develop a production team while driving performance in four key areas: Safety, Quality, Throughput, and Cost. Working under the general supervision of the Senior Operations Manager, you will help create a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
This is an opportunity for a leader who enjoys being involved in daily operations, coaching employees, solving problems, and collaborating across departments to keep production running safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
What You'll Do
Lead, Coach, and Develop Your Team
- Provide day-to-day leadership, direction, and support to production employees.
- Build a positive, accountable work environment that encourages teamwork, trust, and employee engagement.
- Coach employees, provide constructive feedback, conduct performance reviews, and support training and development.
- Assist with hiring, personnel assignments, wage adjustments, and employee performance management within your area of responsibility.
- Empower team members to identify problems, develop solutions, and take ownership of their work.
Champion Safety and Quality
- Promote a zero-injury culture through employee involvement and continuous improvement.
- Support safety initiatives and identify opportunities to strengthen safe work practices.
- Ensure production activities follow established procedures, quality standards, and customer specifications.
- Monitor right-first-time performance and lead problem-solving efforts to reduce errors and improve results.
Drive Production and Operational Excellence
- Coordinate daily production activities to meet throughput, productivity, and on-time delivery goals.
- Monitor performance against production plans and communicate priorities and results.
- Optimize staffing, equipment utilization, and production schedules to meet business needs.
- Identify and resolve operational challenges using sound judgment and technical experience.
- Lead improvement projects and collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and other departments.
- Support Lean manufacturing, pull production methods, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Help develop and improve performance metrics to measure team and individual success.
What You'll Bring
- At least 1 year of lead or supervisory experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.
- Familiarity with pull production methodologies.
- Experience coaching employees, managing performance, and providing effective feedback.
- The ability to develop team members and encourage independent problem-solving.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office applications.
- The ability to manage projects, solve problems, and balance competing production priorities.
- A demonstrated ability to lead a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- A four-year degree in Business, Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
Additional Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be willing to complete a pre-employment background check.
- Must be willing to participate in pre-employment and periodic drug screening.
- Must be willing and available to work or change shifts as business needs require.
- Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment.
