About Your Role:

As a Corporate Facilities Maintenance and Safety Manager at Dollar Tree’s corporate office, you’ll oversee the maintenance, safety, security, budgeting, analytical reporting, and operational reliability of our corporate facilities portfolio. You’ll lead facility maintenance and vendor operations, ensure fire and life safety compliance, manage physical security services, and provide project management oversight for construction and renovation initiatives. Your day-to-day job duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

Facilities Operations & Maintenance:

• Directly oversee daily maintenance operations through the Maintenance Supervisor, two Technicians, and vendor maintenance and repair contracts.
• Manage all facility repair and maintenance contracts for corporate buildings, the aircraft hangar, and leased/owned assets.
• Ensure preventive maintenance programs are implemented and equipment/system uptime is maximized for all maintenance-worthy equipment, including mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and fire, life, and safety systems.
• Oversee vendor performance for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, elevators, janitorial, landscaping, and other facility-related services, including complex building systems and equipment.

 

Safety, Fire Life Safety & Emergency Management:

• Ensure compliance with all fire, life safety, OSHA, ADA, and local building safety codes.
• Maintain emergency response protocols, evacuation plans, training, and business continuity procedures for the 13-story corporate headquarters and other corporate facilities.
• Provide oversight of first aid response readiness and coordinate with corporate safety teams.
• Conduct regular safety inspections, drills, and compliance audits.

Security Management:

• Manage physical security at Corporate Facilities, including the daily security organization, to promote the safety and security of all associates.
• Document and report all security incidents to the appropriate leadership team.
• Support special functions and senior executive requirements while operating in corporate facilities.
• Foster relationships with local police, state, and fire organizations, and support their periodic training on company facilities.
• Oversee physical security systems including cameras, access control, and badge readers.
• Manage third-party security contracts for corporate office spaces and the mixed-use development.
• Partner with corporate security leadership on threat assessments, incident response, and security technology upgrades.
• Work with assigned Asset Protection professionals in managing corporate security procedures and the organization at the SSC and other corporate facilities, including assistance to Summit Pointe Security.

Project & Construction Management:

• Manage small- to mid-scale construction, renovation, and capital improvement projects for corporate facilities.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with corporate standards.
• Provide technical input for design and planning of facility upgrades and new projects.
• As a collateral duty, support Closed Store Team construction and repair projects with expertise and support as needed, not to exceed 10% of job duties.

Leadership & Administration:

• Lead, mentor, and evaluate the Maintenance Supervisor and Technicians, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Develop and manage annual budgets for facilities maintenance, security, and safety programs.
• Ensure accurate recordkeeping of maintenance, safety inspections, and compliance documentation.
• Provide regular reporting to leadership on facility performance, risk management, and capital planning.

Your Required Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Construction Management, Occupational Safety, or a related field preferred but not required. Equivalent experience considered.
• 10 years of progressive experience in facilities or construction management, including maintenance operations, safety, and vendor management.
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams and contractors.
• Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, elevators, life safety, security).
• Experience with fire life safety systems, OSHA compliance, and emergency management.
• Project management experience with construction/renovation projects.
• Strong vendor negotiation and contract management skills.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational abilities.

Preferred Requirements:

• Certified Facility Manager (CFM), Facilities Management Professional (FMP), or equivalent.
• OSHA 30 certification.
• First Aid/CPR/AED certification.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) a plus.

Start Rate = $92,000 -$110,000 based on experience plus 20% bonus and equity.
