Surgery - Cardiovascular Physician

This locum Cardiovascular Surgery opportunity is seeking a board-certified Cardiovascular Surgeon for hospital-based coverage over the July holiday weekend. The provider will primarily handle hospital rounding and cardiovascular surgical care, including emergency and on-call responsibilities as needed.

Dates / Schedule

• Coverage Dates:
  • Friday, July 3rd at 5:00 PM through Monday, July 6th at 7:00 AM
• Schedule:
  • 24-hour coverage
• Call Schedule:
  • To be determined

Job Details / Responsibilities

• Hospital rounding and cardiovascular surgery coverage
• Practice setting: inpatient hospital
• EMR/documentation system: EPIC
• Required procedures include:
  • Aneurysm repair
  • Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG)
  • Heart valve replacement surgeries
• Cardiothoracic surgery experience required

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Fellowship training in Cardiovascular Surgery required
• Board Certified in Cardiovascular Surgery required
• Active South Carolina medical license required
  • Providers needing to obtain a license will not be considered
• Active ACLS certification required
• Self-query NPDB report required at time of presentation
• Clean background/history required for temporary privileges consideration
