Experience:
• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
• 3 months of Epic experience is preferred.
• High School completion required.

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: TAVR TTE experience scanning severe-to-critical aortic stenosis patients who will be getting a TAVR device is required. Dedicated inpatient echocardiography experience is required. A minimum of 200 inpatient echocardiography cases is required. Experience performing high-quality adult echocardiography studies according to ASE and IAC guidelines is required. Proficiency in valvular assessment with strong spectral Doppler and Pedoff skills is required. Experience with contrast echocardiography and agitated saline studies is required. Ability to work independently, recognize abnormalities, and quickly respond to critical findings is required. High-end technologists with extensive experience or experience working for a valve center or structural heart facility are required.
Preferred Skills/Experience: TEE and Stress Echo experience is preferred. Familiarity with 3D echo imaging is preferred. Experience with TAVR, Mitral Clip, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, VAD, and closure device protocols is preferred. Experience maintaining ICAEL-accredited echocardiography laboratory standards is preferred.
Required Credentials: High School Diploma or GED required. Registered Cardiac Diagnostic Medical Sonographer with American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) is required.
Preferred Credentials: Graduate of CAAHEP or ABHES Cardiovascular Technology Program preferred.
Unit Details: Responsibilities include preparing patients for examinations, promoting patient comfort, explaining procedures in easy-to-understand terms, relieving pre-testing anxiety, performing ultrasound procedures, and monitoring patients throughout the process. The sonographer reviews prior reports and images and patient charts; ensures proper images are obtained, studies are complete and thorough, and appropriate techniques are used; and notifies the reader. Responsibilities include setting up equipment, maintaining records and logs of exams, and controlling inventory and purchasing supplies for the assigned area. Uses Philips ie33 and Epiq systems.
Shift & Scheduling: No call.
14 days maximum time off
2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required
Certifications:
• RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (ARDMS)) or the alternative certification RCS
