Work Environment

This position is onsite in a bustling hospital setting, where you will interact with diverse patients seeking rehabilitation services. The work environment is collaborative, encouraging open communication among team members, including Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and nursing staff. Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with licensed Physical Therapists to implement and modify tailored treatment plans based on individual patient assessments.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, ensuring they perform activities safely and effectively to optimize recovery.
• Administer various therapeutic modalities, including but not limited to ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and manual therapy techniques.
• Carefully monitor and document each patient's progress, sharing insights and updates with the supervising Physical Therapist to adjust treatment as needed.
• Educate patients and their families on home exercise protocols and essential practices to facilitate ongoing recovery.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations while ensuring accurate and detailed clinical records, contributing to high standards of patient confidentiality and care.
• Work closely with the healthcare team to coordinate comprehensive, patient-centered care aimed at maximizing patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work primarily with patients recovering from orthopedic conditions, including post-operative rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal disorders. You will interact with diverse demographics, ensuring each treatment plan is respectful of individual backgrounds and health goals.

Qualifications

• Possess an active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license issued by the state of California.
• A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required.
• Exhibit proficiency in therapeutic exercises and demonstrate understanding of manual therapy techniques.
• Possess strong communication skills with an empathetic approach, allowing for effective patient interaction.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience as a PTA, ideally in an outpatient orthopedic setting.
• Exposure to electronic health record (EHR) systems is advantageous for improved patient management.
• Experience handling diverse patient cases, showing adaptability in treatment methodologies.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $75,000 to $85,000 annually, supplemented with attractive benefits. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:
