Full job description

Our client, a tier 1 supplier within the automotive industry, is seeking a Project Engineer to join their team. As a Project Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting cross-functional teams including design, production, procurement, and quality. This would be a hybrid position.

Job Title: Project Engineer

Location: Auburn Hills, Michigan 48326

Pay Range: $72,000 - $100,000 + up to 10% Bonus

**MUST be US Citizen or Green Card Holder ONLY**

What's the Job?

  • Support the planning, coordination, and execution of engineering projects from conception through completion.
  • Ensure technical requirements, cost targets, schedules, and quality standards are met.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to prepare and maintain project documentation such as drawings, specifications, and customer required documents.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, and internal departments to meet project milestones.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks or delays, and recommend corrective actions to ensure successful project delivery.

What's Needed?

  • 2+ years of Project Engineering experience
  • Must have experience within tier 1 automotive as a supplier - no OEM
  • Design, Engineering, and Manufacturing Process experience such as stamping, injection molding, cold heading, riveting, machining, & fine blanking.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard CAD software (e.g., CATIA, NX).
  • Strong communication skills and proficiency with MS Office systems, especially Excel and Project.
