Rubbercraft is seeking a Quality Inspector III to support our Quality Management System and ensure world-class performance through inspection excellence, process improvement, and customer focus. This role requires strong knowledge of inspection methods, blueprint reading, and the use of precision measuring equipment.
This position plays a key role in maintaining product quality, supporting continuous improvement efforts, and delivering positive customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform receiving, in-process, and final inspections of materials and finished goods
- Conduct First Article Inspections in accordance with AS9102
- Review documentation to ensure completeness and compliance with company and customer requirements
- Inspect finished products per established procedures and standards; sign certifications as required
- Maintain accurate inspection records and documentation
- Support customer source inspections and supplier quality requirements
- Monitor QA workload and prioritize inspection activities based on production needs
- Review purchase orders for Supplier Quality Requirements (SQRs)
- Drive and support key quality metrics (DPPM, OTD, Cost of Quality, Supplier Performance, etc.)
- Partner cross-functionally to identify and resolve quality issues and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Develop and utilize reporting tools (including databases) to analyze trends and reduce defects/scrap
- Utilize specialized inspection equipment (e.g., vision systems) as needed
- Support audits, contract reviews, and overall quality system effectiveness
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 3-5+ years of inspection experience in an aerospace or manufacturing environment
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and inspection instructions
- Proficiency with standard inspection tools and measuring equipment
- Experience with AS9102 First Article Inspection preferred
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office; ERP experience (e.g., Great Plains) is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a deadline-driven environment
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred

- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and operate inspection equipment
