The Gund Company has an immediate opening for a full-time Utility Operator I to join our team!
Shift: 3rd Shift
Hourly Wage: $23 - $25 per hour based on experience
Shift Premium: 20%

Utility Operator Job Summary
As a Utility Operator I, you will play a key role in supporting production operations, ensuring that parts are fabricated to meet work order specifications and customer requirements. This includes operating various CNC and non-CNC production machinery, conducting manual assembly tasks, and adhering to safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities Utility Operator I
* Operate production equipment such as vertical mills and other CNC equipment.
* Perform manual assembly and fabrication tasks using hand tools and machines, as necessary.
* Inspect products to ensure they meet company quality, quantity, and customer standards.
* Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following all safety protocols.
* Assist with troubleshooting and performing routine maintenance on production machinery as needed.
* Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals.
Requirements:
* High School Diploma or GED with prior hands on, vocational or job-related course work/training, or any similar combination of education and experience.
* Strong basic math skills and the ability to use measuring tools (tape measures, calipers, micrometers, etc.).
* Flexibility to work overtime and adjust to emergency production needs.
Preferred:
* Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
* Familiarity with reading blueprints and technical drawings.
* Experience with vertical mills or similar equipment.
Work Environment Utility Operator I
* This role is performed in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, fumes, and chemicals.
* Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
* The position may involve repetitive tasks and manual labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods of time.
* Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform manual tasks as required.
