Facility:
This is a Commission on Cancer (COC) accredited Cancer Center that provides comprehensive oncology services to the surrounding community. The facility features an 18-bed chemo suite, dedicated pharmacists who conduct educational starts for chemotherapy, and is housed under the same roof as radiation oncology. The center supports weekly tumor boards and offers access to clinical trials, including Phase 2 and Phase 3 studies.

Opportunity:
Physician - Internal Medicine - Hematology and Oncology

Job Details:
  • Provide comprehensive hematology and oncology services with 17 patient encounters per shift
  • Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • New patient appointments are scheduled at 1 hour; follow-up appointments at 20 minutes
  • Weekend call available as 24-hour call shifts
  • Weekday night call is required and will be shared among providers
  • Call responsibilities include responding to RN inquiries regarding patients calling in with questions, patients actively receiving chemotherapy, and minimal ED consults
  • Support staff includes one Medical Assistant and several RNs
  • EMR system is Mosaiq
  • Dedicated pharmacists on site who conduct educational starts for chemotherapy
  • Facility is housed under the same roof as radiation oncology
  • Weekly tumor boards and access to Phase 2 and Phase 3 clinical trials available
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible required; BLS certification required
  • Estimated credentialing timeframe is approximately 60 days
  • Nearest airport is El Paso International Airport
  • Lodging options available nearby with facility discount rates
  • Available start dates beginning August 31, 2026, with ongoing coverage needs into 2027
  • Full coverage five days per week sought for 2027, with potential weekend call included

Compensation:
