AMN Healthcare has been retained to identify a Nurse Practitioner specializing in Hematology/Oncology to join a highly collaborative outpatient oncology program in Chicago, Illinois.

This is an exceptional opportunity to deliver patient-centered cancer care within a supportive, team-based environment focused on mentorship, innovation, and clinical excellence.

Position Highlights

Predominantly outpatient oncology setting
Collaborative, multidisciplinary care model
Manageable patient volume (approx. 5–7 patients/day)
Strong emphasis on training, mentorship, and professional growth
Key Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive patient assessments
Order and interpret diagnostic tests
Develop and manage treatment plans for hematology/oncology patients
Monitor progress and adjust care plans
Educate patients and families on treatment and supportive care
Deliver compassionate, high-quality patient care

Qualifications

Master’s degree in Nursing (NP program)
Active Illinois NP license (or eligibility)
2+ years of Hematology/Oncology experience required
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Oncology experience highly preferred
