Job Description

Piramal Pharma Solutions is seeking a Manufacturing Operator I, Granulation to join our Operations team at our Sellersville, PA site. This position is responsible for operating, cleaning, disassembling, and reassembling granulation manufacturing equipment in accordance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and site safety requirements.

The Manufacturing Operator I, Granulation supports production activities within the Granulation department and may be cross trained to assist in other Manufacturing or Packaging areas based on business needs.

Position Summary

Piramal Pharma Solutions is seeking a Manufacturing Operator I, Granulation to join our Operations team at our Sellersville, PA site. This position is responsible for operating, cleaning, disassembling, and reassembling granulation manufacturing equipment in accordance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and site safety requirements.

The Manufacturing Operator I, Granulation supports production activities within the Granulation department and may be cross trained to assist in other Manufacturing or Packaging areas based on business needs.

Shift Hours are Monday - Thursday, 11PM - 9AM

Essential Responsibilities

  • Operate, clean, assemble, and disassemble granulation equipment, including high-shear mixers, low-shear mixers, mills, and fluid bed dryers.
  • Follow cGMP requirements, SOPs, batch records, and all applicable company procedures.
  • Perform equipment setup, operation, cleaning, and changeover activities.
  • Complete required training and skills inventories for cross-functional assignments.
  • Support operations in other Manufacturing or Packaging departments as needed.
  • Utilize computer systems to review procedures, complete required training, and access production documentation.
  • Accurately complete production and equipment documentation.
  • Build productive working relationships and contribute to a positive team environment.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision or collaboratively within a team setting.
  • Adhere to all Piramal Pharma Solutions Safety, Health, Environmental (SHE), and quality policies.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support business objectives.

Qualifications

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience may be considered.

Experience

  • Prior experience in a pharmaceutical, chemical, biotechnology, food manufacturing, or other regulated manufacturing environment is preferred but not required.
  • Mechanical aptitude and experience operating manufacturing equipment are a plus.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to follow written procedures and work instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to learn manufacturing processes and equipment operation.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Ability to occasionally move or assist with movement of drums weighing up to 300 pounds using appropriate material handling equipment.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the workday.
  • Ability to safely work around manufacturing equipment and machinery.
  • Ability to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to pharmaceutical materials, chemicals, and cleaning agents.
