Full job description
We‘re hiring a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for a travel contract role at a skilled nursing facility in Atlantic, IA. Under the guidance of a licensed Occupational Therapist, you will help patients regain the skills they need for everyday life. This opening is to provide emergency coverage while the facility‘s COTA is out for at least six weeks. Apply today and a recruiter will reach out with the details.
Minimum Requirements
Associate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited college. Active Iowa COTA license required to start the assignment. BLS certification from AHA or ARC preferred. (Preferred) Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a COTA in a skilled nursing facility or long-term care setting preferred. Demonstrated experience with ADL retraining and durable medical equipment (DME) assessment preferred. Ability to provide coverage on short notice for emergency staffing needs for a minimum six-week period. Patient care task (PCT) requirement: able to perform duties at the 85% PCT level as defined by the client.

Facility Type: Skilled Nursing Facility. Shift Name: Days. Assignment Purpose: Emergency coverage for a COTA medical absence of at least six weeks.
