Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 22 months of Medical Surgical Oncology experience.

• Experience with Epic is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Ohio license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <60 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Anyone who worked at a facility in this program in the last 6 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Required Credentials: Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.

Required Skills/Experience: MS/Tele skills are required. On-unit telemetry monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias are required. Use of rapid response teams is required. Feeding tube care and management are required. IV therapy and phlebotomy are required. Blood product administration is required. Central line blood draws are required. Peripheral line care and management are required. PICC line management is required. Starting IVs is required.

Special Requests: Agency staff must purchase a parking permit through CampusParc. WMC monthly permit: $224.80/month or $748.58 per 100 days, with 24/7 access to the Wexner Medical Center Garage. WB annual permit: $196.20/year, paid upfront; West Campus parking is approximately 1.7 miles from the medical center and includes Pink Shuttle service every 3–5 minutes during peak times, with an approximately 8–9-minute ride. CXS annual permit: $393.96/year, paid upfront; access includes the 9th Avenue East and West garages on weekends and holidays and Buckeye CX and West Campus lots 24/7.

Unit Details: Adult and geriatric patient population. Patients include those with lymphoma, multiple myeloma, acute and chronic leukemias, sickle cell disease, other non-hematologic cancers, and other benign hematologic conditions. Unit work includes chemotherapy, blood transfusions, and IV antibiotics. The unit manages oncologic emergencies such as tumor lysis syndrome and cytokine release syndrome. Common drips include insulin and heparin. The unit has a heavy focus on infection prevention protocols and fall prevention. Available support services include physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and a unit secretary.

Shift & Scheduling: Weekends are variable based on unit needs.

Floating Requirements: Floating to other Med/Surg and Oncology Units.
