What We Offer:

Location: Matthews Medical Center, 1500 Matthews Township Pkwy, Matthews, NC 28105

Department: Med Surg 2

Shift/Hours: 3-12hr, Days 7a-7p

As a Registered Nurse on the Medical Surgical Unit at Novant Health Matthews Medical Center, you'll deliver compassionate, high-quality care to a diverse population of adult patients while making a meaningful impact on their recovery. Your clinical expertise, critical thinking, and collaboration will be essential in providing safe, patient-centered care in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

This 40-bed Medical Surgical Unit cares for patients with a wide variety of acute and chronic medical conditions, including post-cardiac catheterization recovery, stroke, COPD, kidney disease, chest wall (CWall) conditions, and other complex medical diagnoses. You'll perform comprehensive patient assessments, administer medications and treatments, coordinate multidisciplinary care, educate patients and families, and closely monitor for changes in condition to promote the best possible outcomes.

What We're Looking For:
  • Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.
    • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.
  • Experience: One year relevant experience, preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification: Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.
