Work Environment

This PTA position is based onsite at our hospital facility, which is designed to provide comprehensive care in a state-of-the-art rehabilitation setting. The standard working schedule consists of Monday to Friday, with options for either 8 AM to 4 PM or 9 AM to 5 PM shifts, allowing you to maintain a work-life balance without weekend commitments.

Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist Assistant at Balance Booster Rehab Center, your responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with physical therapists to implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's specific needs.
  • Guiding patients through a variety of therapeutic exercises, ensuring proper techniques are utilized to maximize effectiveness and safety.
  • Monitoring patient progress towards rehabilitation goals, providing encouragement and adjustments to care as necessary.
  • Organizing and maintaining therapy equipment and workspaces to ensure an efficient and welcoming environment for patients.
  • Documenting patient interactions and progress in accordance with compliance and regulatory standards.
  • Educating patients and their families on exercise regimens and health practices that promote recovery and sustain mobility.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with adult patients who are recovering from various orthopedic conditions, including post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic pain management. Your role will be essential in helping these individuals navigate their recovery journeys by providing tailored support and therapeutic interventions. You will engage with a diverse group of patients, requiring you to adapt your communication and treatment style to meet varying needs effectively.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates are required to have:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, with a focus on physical therapy or rehabilitation.
  • An active Physical Therapist Assistant license in the state of Florida.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in physical therapy, with a strong preference for experience in outpatient settings.

Compensation and Benefits
