Job Summary and Qualifications

Under the direction of the Nuclear Medicine Supervisor, the Manager of Medical Imaging, the Director of Medical Imaging, and the Staff Radiologists, the Nuclear Medicine Technologist is responsible to safely and proficiently perform stress ECG and nuclear medicine diagnostic imaging procedures and related patient care according to, government regulations, physician orders, policies and procedures of the Medical Imaging Department, and policies and procedures of the hospital.

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Associate Degree accredited school of Nuclear Medicine Technology or hospital trained and qualified to take the registry exam(s) listed below.
• (CNMT) Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist, or (NMT) Nuclear Medicine Technologist, or (ARRT-R) Radiography
• (RT) Radiologic Technologist/Radiographer
• Current G.M.R.T. registry with the Texas Medical Board
• Must be able to work a min of 2 shifts per 4 week rotation
