Full job description

DAYTONA INTERNATIONAL SPEEDWAY

Daytona International Speedway is a state-of-the-art motorsports facility and was awarded the SportsBusiness Journal’s prestigious Sports Business Award for Sports Facility of the Year in 2016. Daytona International Speedway is the home of "The Great American Race” – the DAYTONA 500. Though the prestigious season-opening NASCAR Cup Series event garners most of the attention – as well as the largest audience in motorsports - the approximately 500-acre motorsports complex boasts the most diverse schedule of racing on the globe, thus earning it the title of "World Center of Racing."  Among the nine major weekends of racing activity are the Rolex 24 At DAYTONA, the DAYTONA Supercross, the DAYTONA 200 motorcycle classic and the Coke Zero Sugar 400. Rarely a week goes by that the Speedway grounds are not used for events that include track tours, concerts, civic and social gatherings, car shows, photo shoots, production vehicle testing and police motorcycle training.

Daytona International Speedway is seeking an experienced Director, Guest Services to shape the guest experience at one of the most iconic venues in motorsports, lead the teams and operations that support hundreds of thousands of fans throughout the year, drive service excellence across race weekends and special events, create memorable experiences that strengthen fan loyalty, and advance NASCAR's commitment to world-class hospitality and guest engagement.
Based in Daytona Beach, Florida, this role leads the strategy, leadership, and execution of guest-facing operations across Daytona International Speedway. Leading a large team of employees, event staff, and volunteers, the Director will collaborate across the organization to deliver safe, seamless, and welcoming experiences for fans while identifying new opportunities to enhance service, improve operational efficiency, and elevate the overall guest journey.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead all Guest Services operations across admissions, guest information, campgrounds, infield access points, hospitality areas, tours, wardrobe, and event-support functions.
  • Recruit, develop, and lead a large event-based workforce, including managers, supervisors, seasonal staff, interns, and volunteers.
  • Create and deliver training, recognition, and engagement programs that promote exceptional service, workforce retention, and operational consistency.
  • Partner with Security, Ticketing, Operations, EMS, Event Experience, Marketing, Communications, Concessions, and other stakeholders to ensure a safe and seamless guest experience.
  • Oversee event staffing, scheduling, labor planning, payroll administration, and workforce-management processes.
  • Manage the Daytona G.I.V.E.S. volunteer program, building strong community partnerships while supporting marquee event operations.
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance guest satisfaction, streamline operations, and implement industry best practices.
  • Support departmental budgeting, expense management, and resource planning while maintaining high service standards and operational efficiency.
  • Represent Daytona International Speedway within the local community and support NASCAR initiatives across Florida properties as needed.
  • Support military initiatives by flying commemorative United States flags on DIS property and returning each flag to its sender with a certificate of authenticity and photographs.

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in sport management, hospitality, event management, business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in event operations, hospitality, sports, live entertainment, or a similar guest-facing environment.
  • Proven success leading large teams in fast-paced, high-volume event settings.
  • Strong people leadership skills with experience coaching, developing, and motivating employees and volunteers.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience managing budgets, staffing plans, and operational resources.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and workforce management systems; ABI MasterMind experience is preferred.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and major event days.
  • Ability to travel as business needs require, including support of NASCAR properties throughout Florida.

Why This Role?
