Locum Anesthesiologist needed in Colorado.


Schedule:

Weekend DAY shift schedule:

  • (Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday) 0700 - hr shifts
  • required to work the 4 needed days in a row
  • option to add 1 additional Day shift on Tuesday or Thursday

Weekend NIGHT shift:

  • 14 hours in-house, no call, no callback.
  • Scheduled 1700 - 0700
  • Max 4-night shifts
  • Requirement: Friday Sat, Sat Sun, Sun Mon, Mon Tues
  • CLs will not say 14 hours guaranteed


Dates of Coverage Needed:

  • Late October 2026 - July 2027

Details:

  • Practice Percentage: Adult 80%; Trauma 20%
  • Patient Age Demographic: Mostly Adult
  • 60 surgical cases a day (50% general / 10% neuro / 20% complex vascular / 20% complex ortho)
  • Required Procedures: General Anesthesia: Adult & Trauma, Acute Pain Management, Spinal Anesthesia, Epidural Anesthesia, Minor Nerve Blocks, Central Line, Arterial Line, Regional Anesthesia Surgery, Obstetrical Cases, Neurosurgical Cases - Head & Spine are both required, Complex Vascular cases (except open heart), Complex orthopedic cases, Local Infiltration, Use of ultrasound in placement of blocks, Ventilation mgmt., Eval. and mgmt. of acute volume / BP issues, IV Regional Anesthesia
  • Number of Anesthesiologist in the group: 55
  • Number of CRNA/AAs in the group: 30
  • Other anesthesiologists will be present during the locum tenens coverage
  • Locum tenens required to supervise CRNA/AAs - Yes, but it's "medical direction" vs "supervision" 40% of the time - CRNAs or AAs total of 3 at a time
  • Number of Operating rooms: 22
  • Trauma Level 1
  • Locum tenens physician responsible for preparing anesthesia chart: No, and the facility have difficult airway equipment
  • EPIC (Hospital & Surgical Center)
  • Certification Requirements: ACLS, BLS, PALS
  • Credentialing Timeframe: 3-4 months
  • $1000 referral bonus received for any referral who works 30 days.
