Quick Facts Location: San Jose, CA (2425 Samaritan Drive, ZIP 95124) Start Date: Immediate or upon agreement End Date/Duration: Permanent Shift: 24-hour in-house shift coverage Hours/Week: Full-time (typically 40 hours/week) Employment Type: Permanent, full-time License/Certs: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology Experience: Prior OB hospitalist or maternal-fetal medicine experience preferred, but not required Pay & Benefits Salary: $296,400 to $328,320 annually (based on FTE) bonus incentives Additional Pay: $190/hour for extra clinical hours Benefits Include: Comprehensive health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription) Telehealth services and second opinions Disability and life insurance HSA and FSA options Parental leave and employee assistance programs Fertility support benefits Continuing education allowance and CME credits Retirement plan (401(k) with profit sharing) and employee stock purchase plan Paid sick leave (40 hours annually) What You'll Do Provide 24-hour in-house OB Hospitalist coverage within a high-volume maternal-fetal medicine-led setting Manage OB triage for unassigned and private patients Respond to and manage maternal patient transports (approximately 5-6/month) Assist in cesarean sections (average 0-3 cases) and assist in surgeries as needed Conduct inpatient postpartum and antepartum rounding in collaboration with MFM specialists Perform gynecologic emergency evaluations in the emergency department for unassigned patients Coordinate and deliver comprehensive obstetric care in a high-acuity hospital environment supported by a Level III NICU and 24/7 neonatology, anesthesiology, and pediatric hospitalist coverage Collaborate with a dedicated gynecologic surgical service for gynecologic emergencies What You Need Active California medical license and certification in OB-GYN Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology Relevant experience in obstetrics and gynecology, with preference for hospitalist or maternal-fetal medicine background Ability to work in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment Residency within the immediate local area is required; relocation may be needed About the Assignment This is a permanent, full-time OB hospitalist position at a leading facility in San Jose, California, situated in the heart of Silicon Valley.
