Plant Startup & Operations Manager Requirements & Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience starting up, commissioning, building, or significantly rebuilding an industrial or processing facility

• Experience with industrial equipment involving tanks, pumps, piping, fluid handling, waste processing, or similar systems

• Proven ability to create operational processes, workflows, and SOPs from the ground up

• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment and operational issues alongside the team

• Working knowledge of OSHA or similar industrial safety requirements

• Ability to lead facility startup while simultaneously hiring, scheduling, training, and developing the site team

• Comfortable working in an environment where processes, equipment, and priorities are still being developed

• Ability to establish and manage preventative maintenance, safety, compliance, inventory, and operational controls

• Comfortable working on the plant floor and outdoors in varying weather conditions

• Valid driver's license required

• Must be comfortable working at heights up to 50 feet

• Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 pounds

• Must be available for occasional evening, weekend, and on-call needs during the startup phase

Plant Startup & Operations Manager Preferred Background & Skills:

• Plant startup, greenfield, commissioning, or facility launch experience

• Waste management, recycling, industrial processing, fluid handling, chemical processing, or related manufacturing background

• Experience building a plant operation or major process from scratch rather than solely managing an established facility

• Mechanical maintenance, pipefitting, industrial trades, or equipment troubleshooting experience

• Experience working with tanks, pumps, hoses, piping, and related processing infrastructure

• Experience interacting with regulatory agencies and managing environmental or water-disposal compliance

• Mechanical or Industrial Engineering background is a plus

• Bachelor's degree is preferred but not required. Significant relevant hands-on experience will be considered in place of a degree
