Special Ed. Teacher

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities

• Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to create a positive learning environment

• Adapt teaching materials and methods to meet diverse student needs

• Monitor student progress and adjust strategies accordingly

• Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with school policies and regulations

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Education, or equivalent

• Valid South Carolina teaching certification in Special Education or equivalent

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a school setting, familiar with special education methods and student needs

• Successful completion of background checks

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work collaboratively within a team

• Flexibility with scheduling

• Physical ability to meet demands of a school environment
