Monday-Thursday - 8:00am-5:00pm ; Friday - 8:00am-12noon

Join Novant Health Endocrinology Consultants as a Certified Medical Assistant and help provide compassionate, personalized care to patients managing a variety of endocrine conditions. You’ll work alongside a collaborative clinical team while building meaningful relationships with patients and supporting them throughout their care journey.

This role is ideal for candidates with previous experience working with diabetes patients or in a medical office setting, though motivated new graduates are encouraged to apply!

What We're Looking For:

Education: High School or GED, required. Candidates will provide proof of current certification from one of the approved certifying registries including: • CMA with the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) • CCMA with the National Health Career Association (NHA) • RMA with the American Medical Technologists (AMT) • American Registry of Medical Assistants (NHCWA) • National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) • National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP) • American Allied Health (AAH) RMA with the American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA). If a candidate is not currently certified, they must obtain certification or registration by the end of the sixth month of their hire and sign an education agreement.

Experience: Previous work in a medical office, preferred.

Licensure/Certification:

Current certification, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire as CMA, RMA or CCMA, required

Current State Drivers License (Palliative Care Only), required

Additional Skills/Requirements (required): Ability to successfully complete generic and department specific skills validation and competency testing.

What You'll Do:
  • Room patients and obtain vital signs

  • Assist with in-office procedures and medication administration

  • Support patient referrals, radiology orders, and care coordination

  • Build meaningful, personalized relationships with patients

  • Collaborate with providers and clinical team members to support high-quality patient care
