Student Internship - Litigation Paralegal

As a litigation division paralegal intern, you will support different phases of the litigation process including discovery, administrative tasks, and participation in deposition and trial preparation. Under the direction of a senior level employee or manager you will work on projects that support the litigation division's goals and results. You will complete tasks using both prior knowledge and technical skills appropriate to the job assignment, while adapting to new or changing situations in a team environment.

Responsibilities:

• Develop an understanding of our business environments, corporate culture and structure to support our work.
• Generate creative ideas and actions in response to changing situations.
• Supports and plans work on small projects with direction from management.
• May assume the responsibilities normally performed in the department, alongside professionals who perform these roles.
• Presents project results to management and department personnel.
• Performs analytical work within the assigned functional area.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support, or service.
• Must be currently seeking a baccalaureate, masters, or doctoral degree and be enrolled in an accredited college or university on a full-time basis or as required by the university's co-op program.
• Must have achieved 24 semester hours of academic credit before beginning the first work term.
• Licenses • Not applicable.
• Travel Requirements • Up to 25%.
• Physical Requirements • Work that primarily involves sitting/standing.

 

Additional Job Information

In this paid, primarily office-based role, you will be expected to spend at least 80% of your time (4+ days per week) working from the office. Candidates should reside within approximately 35-50 miles of one of the following office locations: Madison, WI 53783.

This is a paid internship.
