Position Summary:
This job is a key member of the Milwaukee Child Advocacy Center's Anti-Human Trafficking (AHT) Program, providing advocacy, assessment, case coordination, and systems support to youth who are at risk for, suspected of experiencing, or confirmed to have experienced commercial sexual exploitation and human trafficking. Works in partnership with multidisciplinary teams, caregivers, child welfare agencies, healthcare providers, law enforcement, schools, and community organizations to promote safety, recovery, and long-term stability for impacted youth. Using a trauma-informed and harm reduction framework, this job provides direct support and advocacy, coordinates services, strengthens community partnerships, delivers training and education, and assists with program reporting and grant-related requirements.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree with relevant direct service experience required.  Master of Social Work (MSW) or equivalent Master’s level degree preferred.
  • State of Wisconsin License Social Worker or Advance Practice License Social Worker for State of Wisconsin preferred.
  • 5+ years relevant direct service experience to include working with adolescents and young adults required.
  • Demonstrated experience providing trauma-informed services to vulnerable populations required.
  • Collaborating with child welfare, healthcare, education, law enforcement or juvenile justice systems experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of working with youth and families impacted by trafficking, exploitation, abuse, violence or juvenile justice involvement strongly preferred.
