Medical Surgical Unit - Travel Registered Nurse- $2070 per week.

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience.

• 3 months of travel experience is required with any experience within the last 24 months (2 years).

• Experience with Epic is required.

• Trauma Level 2 experience is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Iowa license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• No current placement allowed at Program: TrioWFS Program - UnityPoint Health.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: - Patient care experience in general, gyn, breast, abdominal, flaps, and ENT required. - Heparin experience required. - No first-time travelers; must have completed a travel contract in the past 24 months. - Recent/current Level II trauma experience required.

Preferred Skills/Experience: - Recent/current Level I trauma experience preferred.

Special Requests: - Any past employee of UPH, whether FTE or PRN for the UPH float pool, cannot work travel in another market if they currently work there or have worked there within the past 12 months. If they worked travel at UPH, this separation policy does not apply.

Unit Details: - Patient ratios: 1:4-6 on days; 1:5-6 on nights. - Cares for general, gyn, breast, abdominal, flaps, and ENT patients.

Shift & Scheduling: - Every 3rd weekend. - No call. - Holiday rotation required; unless the unit is closed, must work 1-2 of 3 upcoming summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day). - Flexible contract hours: 36 or 48 per week.

Floating Requirements: - Float required across campuses and like units when needed/scheduled, including Iowa Methodist Medical Center and Iowa Lutheran.

14 days maximum time off

2 Charge/Lead references required from within the last 2 years

Driver’s license required for submission
