Summary:

This position is responsible for assisting the Care Coordinator with utilization review management and discharge planning tasks. This includes accountability for screening and documentation for medical necessity criteria for acute care admission and continued stay certification, identifying discharge planning needs, and coordinating with the Care Coordinator for implementation of non-complex case 
discharges. 

Requirements:

1. High school diploma or equivalent is required.

2. Two (2) years of experience in an acute care hospital or other clinical care setting is required.

3. Well-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively/professionally with the medical center staff, patients, family, visitors, and physicians under routine and stressful situations are required.

4. Successful completion of a medical terminology course or demonstrated functional competency is required.

5. Computer data entry experience is required.

6. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider CPR card is required.

7. Experience with case management, utilization review, and/or discharge planning processes is preferred.

Pay Range: $23.00 - $29.61
