Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Sustaining Manufacturing Engineering Teams are leaders for their responsible processes, ensuring the processes are running at optimum levels for quality and output. They possess expert knowledge of associated manufacturing processes and are responsible for optimizing manufacturing methods for safe production of high-quality products at the lowest possible costs. Manufacturing Engineering Teams enable the TE business unit plants to reach TE Operating Advantage (TEOA) requirements, roll out Centers of Excellence (COE), and Best Demonstrated Practices (BDP's) and advise plants on the tool and machine selections. They act as an interface between engineering and production to ensure the manufacturability of new designs and smooth production ramp up and work closely with new product development engineering to ensure a timely and manufacturable production release.

Manufacturing Engineer Technicians support the engineering team with root cause investigations, nonconformance processing, and documentation management. Other responsibilities include supporting project management for capital equipment upgrades and replacements, as well as validation, monitoring, and improvement of existing processes and equipment that may include application of statistical methods & analysis.

This position will be located at our Wilsonville, OR facility.

Monday to Friday 8 am to 4:30 pm - flexible schedule.

Job Requirements

  • Work with manufacturing engineers to develop and troubleshoot process and procedures
  • Work alongside quality with Investigation of complaints, Non-Conformances, and CAPA Process
  • Support diagnosis of equipment failure.
  • Technical support on equipment with respect for process yields, equipment OEE, TPM and health and safety
  • Assist with engineering studies, process development and validation execution of IQ/OQ/PQ of equipment and processes.
  • Assist in creation and maintenance of SOP's, process instructions and documentation in area of responsibility.
  • Assist and Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
  • Adhere to quality and compliance standards to ensure safe and effective use of the equipment and tools.


What your background should look like

  • Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in a manufacturing company with progressive levels of responsibility.
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis, six sigma training and/or lean manufacturing principles
  • Adaptable to work priorities in response to a rapidly changing environment.
  • Excellent ownership of problems
  • Excellent customer service (both internal and external)
  • Experience with structured problem solving (e.g., 8D, Fishbone, etc)
  • Experience with engineering change orders
  • Excellent communications skills (oral & written)
  • Excellent Project Management Skills
  • Strong computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets)
  • You can adapt to work priorities in response to a rapidly changing environment.


Preferred
  • Experience with SAP, Smartsolve, Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) such as Emaint.
  • Experience with CO2 and UV laser ablation
  • Experience in medical manufacturing environment

COMPENSATION
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $55,200 - $82,800 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
