Full job description

School Speech Language Pathologist provides assessment, therapy, and collaboration with school staff to support students with communication disorders. The role delivers individualized education plans and therapy within a 36-week contract in the New Oxford, PA area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with educational staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for students.

  • Provide one-on-one and group therapy sessions tailored to student needs.

  • Monitor and document student progress and adjust therapy plans accordingly.

  • Educate teachers and parents on strategies to support student communication development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, or equivalent.

  • Pennsylvania state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.

  • ASHA certification preferred.

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a school setting.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to pass background checks.

  • Commitment to student success.

  • Flexibility to adapt to different classroom environments.

  • Familiarity with IEPs and educational accommodations.
