This is a temporary position, and there are no leave or retirement benefits offered with this position. Note: Permanent and time-limited NC State Government employees must separate from their permanent or time-limited position in order to work in a temporary position.  All temporary employees are limited to one NC State Government temporary assignment at a time.

This temporary position is located at 1915 Health Services Way, Raleigh, NC 27603 - Wake County, with the Department of Health and Human Services.   

 
Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay: $25.00 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application).  


Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

  • Process a variety of classification and compensation actions in the HR information system, including reallocations, in-ranges, salary adjustments, and acting pay wage type supplements
  • Create new positions, supervisory changes, and position transfers
  • Complete Baseline Salary Calculators
  • Update job descriptions in Workday
  • Prepare employee notification letters
  • Participate in team projects
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education and Experience

Some state job postings say you can qualify by an “equivalent combination of education and experience.” If that language appears below, then you may qualify through EITHER years of education OR years of directly related experience, OR a combination of both. Associate’s degree, typically in Human Resources or relevant field from an appropriately accredited institution and 1 year of experience required; or 2 years of progressive experience in Human Resources; or equivalent combination or education and experience.
