MISCOwater, a UFT company is the leading Manufacturers' Representative of process equipment for Water, Wastewater, & Industrial treatment in Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada , New Mexico, Texas, Utah, and Wyoming. We specialize in providing reliable, proven, innovative and life cycle cost-effective solutions for municipal wastewater treatment and municipal water treatment. We represent over 50 companies that provide quality process equipment.

MISCOwater’s industry-leading growth (3x over the last five years) has created the need for an experienced, strategic, and operationally focused General Manager to lead the business through its next phase of expansion. Reporting to the President, this role is accountable for overall business performance, including revenue, gross margin, EBITDA/profitability, operating discipline, organizational effectiveness and strategic growth.

What you'll do:

Own Business Performance & P&L

  • Assume full responsibility for company P&L performance
  • Develop and execute strategies to achieve revenue, gross margin/EBITDA, and growth objectives
  • Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
  • Monitor business performance and implement initiatives to improve margins, productivity, and operational efficiency, including cash/working capital discipline
  • Identify growth opportunities while proactively managing tradeoffs between growth, profitability, and operational execution
  • Drive Commercial & Sales Growth

    • Own the Commercial Operating System
    • Establish a disciplined commercial rhythm, including CRM usage, pipeline management, forecasting accuracy, opportunity reviews and KPI dashboards
    • Consolidate territory forecasts into an overall company forecast
    • Hold Area Sales Managers accountable for forecast quality, execution, and results
    • Partner with sales leadership on territory planning, strategic account management, and market expansion
    • Provide forward-looking revenue visibility to executive leadership
    • Lead Performance Management

      • Establish performance expectations and accountability across the organization
      • Partner with functional leaders on performance reviews and talent development
      • Drive performance improvement plans and personnel decisions
      • Ensure compensation programs align with company performance and business objectives
      • Lead Business Operations

        • Improve business processes to drive cross-functional ownership, service delivery, and execution quality
        • Ensure operational consistency across all locations and territories through process standardization
        • Establish KPIs and operating rhythms that drive accountability and execution
        • Customer, OEM & Strategic Partner Leadership

          • Serve as the executive escalation point for key customers, OEM partners, and internal stakeholders
          • Drive Tier 2 OEM performance through regular business reviews and corrective action planning
          • Support strategic Tier 1 OEM relationships alongside the President
          • Maintain strong executive relationships with customers, suppliers, and industry partners
          • Marketing & Business Development

            • Oversee marketing strategy and execution
            • Ensure alignment between marketing initiatives and commercial objectives
            • Support pipeline generation
            • Technology & Continuous Improvement

              • Partner with IT to ensure CRM effectiveness and commercial systems functionality
              • Drive adoption of technology that improves business performance
              • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve organizational efficiency

What you bring:

  • 12+ years of progressive leadership experience within industrial, manufacturing, engineered products, technical distribution, or water/wastewater industries
  • Proven experience leading a business or business unit with full P&L responsibility
  • Demonstrated success leading both commercial and operational functions within a growing organization
  • Strong background in sales leadership, forecasting, sales operations, and business development
  • Experience managing distributed sales teams across multiple territories
  • Financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, margin management, and strategic planning
  • Experience partnering with executive leadership to drive business strategy and organizational growth
  • Proven ability to build high-performing teams and develop future leaders
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills
  • Executive presence and business leadership capability suitable for broader enterprise responsibilities as the organization continues to grow
