Job Description
Shriners Children's Chicago has an opportunity for a Part-Time Patient Care Assistant in our Inpatient Unit. Join a team of professionals committed to improving children's lives. Our top healthcare professionals excel in their practices and provide compassionate, family-centered care to children who need it most.
Hours: This part-time position is 48 hours bi-weekly (0.6 FTE) and the hours are 6:00 am - 2:30 pm with an every other weekend rotation and holiday rotation.
Key Responsibilities:
The Patient Care Assistant assists in the delivery of patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
The PCA provides direct patient care and performs routine tasks as assigned.
Must consistently demonstrate caring and appropriate behavior when interacting with patients and families.
Assists with wound and skin care, keeps unit and work areas stocked, and provides delegated nursing care activities as appropriate.
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma / GED
Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA)
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification from American Heart Association
One year of pediatric experience
The pay range for this position is $18.65 - $27.98.
