Get to Know Your Team:

  • Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center is a 128-bed, full-service, acute-care community hospital with a new emergency department, a state-of-the-art maternity center, a women's imaging center, and an ICU.
Responsibilities:
  • The RN Post-Partum Staff functions as a caregiver for a specific patient population in order to achieve desired outcomes.

  • This position directs and oversees the care provided by other caregivers through delegation, validation, evaluation, and coordination.

  • This position effectively coordinates patient care/unit activities among nursing peers, physicians and support services.

  • The RN Staff Nurse reports to the Nurse Manager.

Qualifications:

Job Requirements:

  • Graduate of an NLN/AACN-accredited program in nursing
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification
  • BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care or the American Red Cross (ARC).
  • Registered Nurse (RN) with the New Jersey Board of Nursing or an RN Multistate License from the NCL is required.
  • 1-2 years Mother/Baby and/or Medical-Surgical nursing experience.
  • Completed basic AWHONN Electronic Fetal Monitoring Course within 6 months of hire.

Preferred Job Requirements:

  • OB nursing certification preferred.

Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
