We are seeking a highly skilled, hands-on AI Learning Experience Architect to design, prototype, and build our next-generation digital learning ecosystem. In this individual contributor role you will sit at the intersection of instructional design and practical AI engineering, creating adaptive learning workflows, configuring AI-driven development tools, and building intelligent learning pathways. This role requires someone who can both conceptualize an educational strategy and directly build the solutions that deliver it.

You will work alongside subject matter experts, IT partners, and the wider Learning team, translating complex technical requirements into interactive, scalable digital learning accelerated by AI development and deployment workflows.

This is a builder's role. We are looking for someone who prototypes rather than proposes, who debugs their own configurations, and who is energized by defining what corporate learning becomes over the next three years rather than refining what it was over the last ten.

Key Responsibilities

Core Architecture and Building

• Directly build, configure, and maintain AI-powered learning modules, automated assessment tools, and personalized training pipelines that run consistently and without error.

AI Implementation and Orchestration

• Design and implement practical AI applications using prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation concepts, and low-code or no-code automation platforms to optimize content creation and remove manual steps from the design process. This person helps our team take content into the future and establishes recommended and efficient infrastructure.

Adaptive Learning Pathways

• Structure data and learning content into modular frameworks that enable AI tools to deliver dynamic, personalized feedback and adaptive training paths, so that any AMN team members receives an experience that fits the work in front of them.

Tools and Integration Management

• Evaluate, test, and integrate modern generative AI design tools alongside existing learning management and learning experience platforms, and make clear recommendations about what to scale, what to adapt, and what to retire within our ecosystem.

Data and Analytics

• Set up tracking mechanisms using xAPI or standard learning metrics, then use that data to continuously evaluate and improve completion rates, learner experience, and performance outcomes.

Reliability and Ownership

• Debug prompt configurations, manage content databases, and keep the solutions you build accurate, current, and dependable as systems and content change around them.

Responsible AI Practice

• Build in data privacy, appropriate disclosure, human review, accessibility, and bias checks from the start, in partnership with IT, Legal, and Compliance.

Documentation and Enablement

• Document what you architect and coach fellow designers on the workflows you create, so the ecosystem stays maintainable beyond any single person.

Required Skills and Experience

• Three to five or more years of practical experience in instructional design, educational technology, or a highly relevant tech-adjacent role, with a strong portfolio showcasing hands-on AI integration.
• Demonstrated proficiency in utilizing modern generative AI models, designing complex prompt workflows, and leveraging low-code automation tools or APIs.
• Solid grounding in adult learning theories such as ADDIE, SAM, and cognitive load theory, applied directly to digital interfaces rather than kept at the theoretical level.
• Exceptional capability to translate technical system behavior into clean, intuitive, and accessible user experiences for all learners, and to explain AI capabilities and limits to a non-technical audience.
• Working knowledge of learning management or learning experience platforms and learning data standards such as xAPI or SCORM.

Preferred Skills

• Experience implementing retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), curating knowledge bases, and maintaining the content hygiene that makes AI answers trustworthy.
• Experience building conversational or agent-based experiences, custom GPTs, or copilots for a business audience.
• Scripting or API integration ability, for example Python or JavaScript, used to connect systems and automate workflows.
• Proficiency with authoring tools such as Articulate 360, Rise, Camtasia, and Synthesia.
• Working knowledge of AI governance and responsible use frameworks.
• Familiarity with accessibility standards such as WCAG 2.1 and with inclusive design practice.

Work Environment / Physical Requirements

• Work is performed in an office/home office environment.
• Team Members must have the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.

Pay Rate

$101,000 - $120,000 Salary

Final pay rate is dependent on experience, training, education, and location.
