Position Overview

Rebound Physical Therapy is actively seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our committed team in Elizabeth, New Jersey. As a full-time member of our clinic, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care, assisting in the delivery and implementation of individualized therapeutic treatment plans to help our patients recover and regain their functionality.

Work Environment

Located onsite at a state-of-the-art hospital facility in Elizabeth, NJ, our clinic offers a collaborative and dynamic work environment. As a PTA, you will collaborate daily with Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech-Language Pathologists, and other healthcare professionals to foster a multidisciplinary approach to patient care. Our schedule predominantly runs from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional flexibility to accommodate the diverse needs of our patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the implementation of customized treatment plans designed by the Physical Therapist, targeting improvements in patients' mobility, strength, and functional capabilities.
  • Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and stretches, employing various modalities to promote recovery and alleviate pain.
  • Educate patients on effective body mechanics and home exercise regimens, empowering them to take an active role in their recovery.
  • Administer modalities such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold therapy under the supervision of the Physical Therapist.
  • Carefully document patient progress, tracking improvements in range of motion, strength, and overall functional status to aid in treatment adjustments.
  • Ensure treatment areas are well-organized and stocked with necessary equipment and supplies, ready for therapy sessions.
  • Provide encouragement and emotional support to patients throughout their rehabilitation process, creating a positive atmosphere conducive to healing.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional and ethical standards in all patient interactions.

Our clinic serves a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from major surgeries, athletes undergoing rehabilitation for sports injuries, children with developmental challenges, and seniors needing specialized geriatric care. Qualifications

  • A valid Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • Current state certification or licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant.

Compensation and Benefits
