Position Overview
We are currently seeking a dedicated full-time Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team at Kinetic Physical Therapy Clinic, located in beautiful Fairfax, Virginia. In this pivotal role, you will play a fundamental part in guiding patients through their recovery process, helping them regain movement and achieve their full potential. Work Environment
The work setting is primarily onsite at our state-of-the-art facility, which features advanced treatment rooms, exercise areas, and equipment designed for sports medicine and rehabilitation. You will be part of a supportive team comprising two seasoned physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant, all working together to provide high-quality care that meets the unique needs of each patient. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' movement and functional capabilities to establish accurate diagnoses and treatment plans.
- Engage in direct patient care, managing a patient load of approximately one individual per hour, ensuring personalized and focused attention.
- Develop individualized treatment programs that prioritize movement restoration and overall health improvement.
- Utilize a variety of treatment modalities, including manual therapy techniques and exercise prescriptions, to facilitate recovery and enhance mobility.
- Monitor patient progress diligently, modifying treatment plans as needed based on ongoing evaluations and feedback.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of treatment services in our electronic medical records (EMR) system, ensuring compliance and continuity of care.
- Communicate effectively with patients, motivating them throughout their recovery journey and instilling confidence in their progress.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide integrated and holistic care for our patients.
- Participate actively in team meetings and training sessions to remain updated on best practices and emerging therapies within the physical therapy field.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Our patient population primarily consists of individuals with orthopedic needs, including post-surgical recovery, sports injuries, chronic pain, and mobility challenges. Most of our clients are covered by private medical insurance, allowing us to deliver high-quality therapy services tailored to their specific conditions and recovery goals. As a Physical Therapist at Kinetic, your work will significantly impact patients’ recovery, improving not only their physical capabilities but also their overall well-being.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required.
- An active Physical Therapist license in Virginia without any disciplinary actions or board actions on record is essential.
- Proof of experience as a Physical Therapist, with at least two years specifically in orthopedic outpatient care settings.
- Exceptional manual therapy skills are preferable and will enhance the effectiveness of your treatment approach.
- Proficiency in designing and implementing exercise programs that align with the patients' rehabilitation needs.
- Familiarity with EMR software, with experience in utilizing WebPT being a significant advantage.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in managing diverse patient populations, with a focus on sports medicine and functional rehabilitation.
- A strong background in developing cost-effective treatment plans that minimize reliance on medications and prioritize nonsurgical interventions.
- Demonstrated ability to motivate and engage with patients throughout their rehabilitation process to foster a positive recovery environment.
Compensation and Benefits
The position offers a competitive salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000 annually, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes healthcare, paid time off, retirement savings plans, and continuing education benefits.
