This position is located in Knoxville, Tennessee in a hybrid environment.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
CGI is seeking an experienced L2 Production Support Specialist with AWS to support and enhance cloud operations across a complex, multi-cloud environment. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting highly available, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure while ensuring compliance with enterprise cloud governance standards. This position will require different levels of experience as well as multiple shift requirements (day, night, weekends, holidays, on-call, etc.).
The ideal candidate will partner with development, infrastructure, and security teams to automate operational processes, implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC), improve observability, and strengthen platform reliability. Responsibilities include monitoring production environments, developing governance dashboards and compliance reporting, automating preventative and corrective controls, supporting incident response, and driving continuous operational improvements across AWS and other cloud platforms.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• 2+ years of strong hands-on experience supporting production environments in AWS.
• Solid understanding of AWS services including EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, Route 53, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, ELB, EBS, SQS, AMIs, and AWS CLI.
o AWS certification is required for senior positions.
• Experience implementing cloud governance frameworks, security controls, and compliance monitoring.
• Ability to build automated dashboards, operational reports, and compliance metrics.
• Strong scripting skills using Python, PowerShell, or Bash to automate operational tasks.
• Experience with production support, incident management, root cause analysis, and on-call support.
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability platforms such as CloudWatch, Splunk, Dynatrace, OpenTelemetry or similar tools.
• Experience with AutoSys, RedHood, Apache Airflow, or other job management is preferred.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline preferred.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $46,400 to 110,100.
