About Miller Motor Company

Miller Motor Company is seeking a B-Level Automotive Technician to join our busy independent repair shop in Centre Hall, PA. This position offers $20–$30/hour with a flexible hybrid pay structure, a Monday–Friday schedule, and a supportive team environment. You'll work on a wide variety of Domestic, European, Asian, and light fleet vehicles while expanding your diagnostic skills in a clean, organized shop equipped with modern technology. This is an excellent opportunity for a technician who enjoys inspections, general repair, drivability concerns, and continuing to grow their technical abilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform general automotive repairs and preventive maintenance.
  • Complete vehicle inspections and document findings using Tekmetric Digital Vehicle Inspections (DVI).
  • Diagnose and repair drivability concerns and assist with electrical diagnostics.
  • Perform brake, steering, suspension, and engine repairs.
  • Service Domestic, European, Asian, and light fleet vehicles.
  • Use Autel and Snap-on diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot vehicle concerns.
  • Collaborate with the Service Advisor, onsite Carquest parts department, and Shop Manager to maintain efficient workflow.
  • Focus on repairing vehicles while the dedicated parts team manages parts sourcing.

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of recent professional automotive technician experience.
  • Strong general automotive repair and maintenance experience.
  • Basic automotive diagnostic and drivability troubleshooting skills.
  • Pennsylvania Inspection and Emissions Licenses required.
  • Experience servicing Domestic, European, and Asian vehicles.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Independent repair shop experience is preferred.
  • ASE Certifications are welcomed.
  • Experience with Tekmetric or another shop management/DVI system is preferred (training available).
  • Experience using Autel and Snap-on diagnostic equipment is preferred.
