Shift: 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM
Experience:
• 24 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
• 12 months of Cardiac Cath Lab experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).
• 3 months of Cerner experience is preferred.

Preferred Skills/Experience: At least 2-3 years of experience in both IR and cath lab preferred, as well as vascular and/or structural heart experience; candidates without experience in all areas may still be considered on a case-by-case basis. Experience with the unit’s charting systems and equipment preferred.
Special Requests: Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility.
Unit Details: Supports cardiac/interventional cardiology, interventional radiology, vascular, structural heart, and electrophysiology cases, including diagnostic heart caths, PCIs/cardiac interventions, device implants, ports, feeding tubes, dialysis catheters, IVC filters, nephrostomy tubes, vertebroplasties, AAA endovascular repairs, TCAR, carotid angiogram/stenting, peripheral diagnostics and interventions, TAVR, MitraClip, left atrial appendage closures, PFO closures, alcohol ablations, balloon aortic valvuloplasty, and cardiac ablations. Responsibilities include circulating cases, administering medications and sedation, monitoring patients during procedures, and monitoring or scrubbing if trained. Uses Merge hemodynamic charting. Equipment includes x-ray/table in all rooms, regular and cardiac ultrasound, impella, intra-aortic balloon pump, laser atherectomy, CSI, rotablator, angiojet, FFR, IVUS, OCT, and CO2 for angiography. Works in 3-4 person teams per room depending on staffing and case type; call teams are 4-person teams.
Shift & Scheduling: Monday-Friday with 1 weekday off. Typically 7-10 days of call per month from 1730-0700, including 1 weekend per month (Friday at 1730-Monday at 0700); average 1-2 weeknight call shifts per week. Holiday call commitment typically includes 1 summer holiday (Memorial Day, Independence Day, or Labor Day) and 1 winter holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year); this may be a couple-day stretch of call or over a weekend. Call response time: 30 minutes.
Floating Requirements: Typically does not float to other departments, but floating is possible as a team nurse or helping hands if hospital census or critical staffing warrants it.
