What We Offer:

PRN NICU RN | East Cooper Medical Center

Join a team dedicated to providing specialized, compassionate care for our smallest and most vulnerable patients. As a PRN NICU Registered Nurse at East Cooper Medical Center, you'll play a vital role in supporting newborns who require additional medical attention while guiding and comforting families through some of their most challenging and meaningful moments. Our Level II Special Care Nursery provides expert care for infants needing services such as respiratory support, tube feeding, and specialized monitoring in a collaborative, family-centered environment.

  • Location: East Cooper Medical Center

  • Shift: 7pm-7am

  • Call: 1 call shift per schedule

  • Status: PRN - minimum commitment of 6 shifts/6 weeks

Our NICU team is made up of highly skilled nurses, neonatal specialists, respiratory therapists, pediatric providers, and support staff who are passionate about delivering exceptional neonatal care. Together, we foster a culture of teamwork, clinical excellence, and family engagement, ensuring every infant receives individualized care while parents feel informed, supported, and involved throughout their baby's journey.
What We're Looking For:
  • Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.
    • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.
  • Experience: One year relevant experience, preferred.
  • Licensure/certification/registration: Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.
What You'll Do:
Provide specialized nursing care to neonates requiring enhanced monitoring and medical support.Assess, monitor, and respond to changes in infant conditions while utilizing critical thinking and evidence-based practice.Collaborate with neonatologists, pediatricians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to deliver comprehensive care.Support and educate parents and caregivers regarding their infant's condition, treatment plan, feeding needs, and discharge preparation.Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with NICU standards and hospital protocols.Maintain accurate documentation and ensure a safe, healing environment for patients and families.Serve as a trusted advocate for infants and their families while delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.
