Position Summary: JMT's Trenton, NJ Underwater Inspection team is seeking an Engineer Diver to be responsible for completing dives for underwater inspections.

Immigration sponsorship or support (e.g. H1B, F-1 CPT/OPT/STEM OPT) is not available for this position, except for qualified candidates eligible for the TN visa classification.

Compensation for this position is $55.00 - $65.00/hour, commensurate with experience, education and certifications. The provided range is a good faith estimate based on the requirements described within the job description. If so, the actual salary range may vary from the estimate provided.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Check diving equipment to ensure it is functioning properly prior to dives
• Use diving equipment to complete underwater dives
• Review and interpret plans and design drawings
• Complete underwater inspections for construction, bridge, and/or marine structures to ensure compliance to plans and codes
• Record all inspection data and assists in the completion of inspection reports
• Field work required, which could be performed during nights and weekends
• Report any medical problems or symptoms experienced during or after the dive
• Report any equipment issues, other potential hazards, near misses or accidents
• Actively observes and acts in an appropriate manner related to safety
• Team-oriented individual committed to achieving group goals
